A good cover-up!

The first foundation I've ever bought - and it's great!

The Rimmel 25 hour foundation has good coverage, while still feeling light on the skin. I've got dry skin that for the last 6 months also is very acne-prone, and this product does not dry my skin nor does it make me break out more. The consistency is quite thick, so I usually put it on straight after my moisturizer to make it easier to spread out evenly.

And the price? Unbeatable!
(At least the UK price)

Pretty in pink

Isn't the new camera from Nikon super cute? It's called Nikon1 J1, exists in 5 different colors and is both compact and powerful with interchangeable lenses. Perhaps a good alternative for someone who wants camera that is more advanced than the compact models on the market, but who does not want a big SLR.

I just discovered this one today, and I will definitely look into it! Did any of you try it?

A smell of... stilettos?

Have you heard that there is now a Jimmy Choo perfume?

Usually I'm really skeptical to scents that are developed by celebrities or brands that do not normally make perfumes, but I received a tester for this one, and it's actually quite nice!

It's feels sensual and fresh at the same time, although the top/middle notes are maybe a little to sweet for my taste.

A plus is of course this wonderful bottle that will be a beautiful addition to any collection!

Bright up your eyes

I just bought the new Shadow Insurance Lemon Drop from Too Faced, did any of you try it?

It's supposed to be a primer for eye shadows, avoiding those annoying creases, and also simply as a color corrector for the eyelid. The yellow tint is meant to reduce redness and discoloring on the eyelid, so it's beneficial even if you're not planning to wear eyeshadow.

It seems to be a nice product! You can read some reviews here.

I've got my eyes on you

Today I came across this coat from Sessùn, and I got such a crush on it! I didn't even try it on, but on the hanger, and now after checking out the photos online, I feel it's the perfect coat for this fall / winter. So simple yet so chic!

I personally have a history of buying coats that are not quite so neutral (in pink, in purple and brown, in purple and gray, in light blue...) and I wind up having difficulties matching the coats with scarves, hats and handbags. Maybe this coat in black would be a step in the right direction? (Although I fear looking identical to all the french girls wearing only black, gray and navy all the time...)

Anyway, this model is called "Chera", is made from 80% wool and 20% polyamid, and costs 189€. What do you think? Is it a hot pick or not?

Punch on the go!

Today I went out in search for a hole puncher in order to get all my school work neatly organized. I wanted a compact one, that I could perhaps carry with me, and I ended up with this little wonder that exceeded my wildest expectations.

It is called Maped Perfoslim by Greenlogic, is made out of 72% recycled material, and fits inside the rings of a folder! This way, I'll always have it with me, ready to file papers as they come! It can also hold a pen, which is practical as well.

However, it only manages to punch holes in 3 paper sheets at the time, much less than a regular hole puncher, so if you're looking to file huge piles of papers, then Perfoslim not for you. In my case, it was exactly what I was looking for!

Pick or skip: Animal print tights

Here's a pick I'm not sure that I want to pick or skip: Pantyhose with animal prints...

I must say I do like how Kourtney Kardashian wears it here, together with a black jumper from Sears Kardashian Kollection

I guess the key is to keep everything else simple and neutral (and to have quite a bit of confidence when wearing it, too!).

What do you say, would you wear it or not?

Go to stylespot.com to see the details of Kourtney's outfit.

Get a sugar rush in London

My picks of the day are these cupcakes from Candy Cakes in London. I've never actually tried this kind of tiny and massively decorated cakes, and I'm thinking they might be just too sweet for me... But they are so cute that I really WANT to like them!

Well, since I'm lucky enough to live only a few hours by train away from London, maybe I should stop by to have a taste! (Actually, I have a trip planned for November, yay!)

Catfish - a movie out of the ordinary

Today's pick is ... a movie! I had never heard about Catfish before watching it (I found it on Canal+ Replay) and it turned out to be a very entertaining, interesting and funny film. A bit moving as well., although far from mushy (luckily). In short, it's a documentary about an online encounter that turns into a long term relationship, but of course, in real life, not everything is what it appears to be... A charming movie that is definitely worth your time! Enjoy :)

Wrap yourself in this cozy "japanese-sleeve" jacket

This is the kind of jacket I just wanna put on and never take off! So comfortable yet stylish and at the same time cozy and warm for the approaching chilly autumn days. (Well, here in Paris, it's really chilly right now!) Wear it with jeans, leggings, shorts or a short skirt - it's so versatile!

The "Japanese Sleeve Jacket" from Pull&Bear only costs 30€, so go get it! Or buy it online! And it's available in charcoal as well... Hm.... not sure which one I want to buy!
